Characteristics of the Emma Original mattress

the external coating it is made of a pillowcase divided into two parts, the white top is made of 2% spandex and 98% polyester. This elastic material should ensure greater freshness during sleep.

The lower part, gray, is 100% polyester. There are also anti-slip elements on the underside to ensure greater stability.

the coatingas removable coveris machine washable at a maximum temperature of 60 ° C. Externally, 4 handles are sewn, to facilitate turning and transport.

Equally interesting is the internal compositionin which they alternate three different layers able to support the weight of the body. The upper layer, 4cmconsists of a foam formed of 50% air, called Airgocella material with high breathable qualities.

the middle layer consists of a plate of 4cm of memory foam, a viscoelastic foam that improves the distribution of pressure exerted by the body. I would have preferred a greater thickness, but it is still sufficient for the price of the product.

the bottom layer consists of a plate of 17cm from cold polyurethane foam appointed HRXhypoallergenic and with 7 differentiated lift zonesthat is to say zones with diversified stiffnesses designed to allow the mattress to exert adequate counter-pressure on each part of the body.

The mattress is certified Oeko-Tex 100 and above all he received the certification as class 1 medical deviceallowing those who are entitled to benefit from a tax deduction at the rate of 19%.

This mattress has a medium degree of rigidity and can support up to 130 kg per square, thanks to the internal structure and the thickness of 25 cm. Certainly for what the product tested is, the quality/price ratio is excellent, and guarantees excellent qualities. ergonomics useful for people with back pain not related to specific spinal pathologies.

My opinion on the Emma Original mattress

This mattress is a good compromise between softness and rigidity, which is why it can be appreciated by most people, especially those who suffer from back pain and those who prefer to sleep on their side.

The memory foam is of good quality and effectively reduces pressure points in the most sensitive areas such as the shoulders and pelvis. I didn’t encounter any particular issues other than the reduced sweat ability due to the memory foam. Regarding the proper alignment of the spine, I do not recommend this product for people over 100 kg who could sink too much into the mattress.
